If your tax situation allows you to use Form 1040EZ please visit us at my1040EZ.com. Form 1040 can be filled out at Express1040.com.You CAN use my1040A.com to prepare your tax return if all of the following requirements are met:
- Your only income is from wages, salaries, tips, unemployment compensation, interest and dividend income, capital gain distributions, social security benefits, taxable scholarships, pension and IRA distributions, or Alaska Permanent Fund dividends.
- The only adjustments to income you can claim are IRA deduction, student loan interest deduction, or tuition and fees deduction.
- You do not itemize deductions.
- Your taxable income is less than $100,000. (Taxable income is gross income less your deductions and exemptions.)
- The only tax credits you can claim are the child tax credit, additional child tax credit, education credit, earned income credit, child and dependent care credit, elderly credit, making work pay credit, government retiree credit, or retirement savings contributions credit.
my1040A.com supports all of the commonly used portions of the Form 1040A. However, you CANNOT use my1040A.com to prepare your tax return if any of the following apply:
- You have self-employment income, capital gains, K-1 income, or any type of income other than what is shown above as supported types of income.
- You can claim the adoption credit, foreign tax credit, or any type of credit other than what is shown above as supported types of credits.
